Boost Your Traffic With These Six Tips for Speedy Pinning

Boost Your Traffic With These Six Tips for Speedy Pinning

75% of my blog traffic each and every month comes from Pinterest.   I repeat: 3/4 of my traffic each and every month is all. from. Pinterest!   And the very best part? I spend less than 30 minutes a week working on my Pinterest account! For the most part, it’s on autopilot. That’s right – two hours of work each month brings in 3/4 (or more) of my blog traffic.   If that’s not a good ROI, I don’t know what is!!   And truthfully, there’s no “magic” or “secret trick” to getting results like this. It’s all about setting up a strong foundation for your account, being active regularly, and using a few simple strategies to speed up your pinning. And today, I’m going to share six […]

Pinterest Group Boards: How to Grow Your Traffic Exponentially

Pinterest Group Boards: How to Grow Your Traffic Exponentially

Pinterest group boards are one of my blogging “secret weapons”. When used properly, group boards can drive massive traffic back to your blog, your opt-in freebies, and your products or services.   I get a lot of questions about Pinterest group boards, both from other bloggers and my coaching clients. Questions like…   “How do I find the right group boards to join?”   “Once I’ve found the right group board, how do I actually go about joining it?”   “What kinds of things should I be pinning to group boards, and how often?”   “When is a good time for me to create my own group board? How many followers should I have?”  Because group boards are one of the major ways I’ve grown my Pinterest account, my email […]

Why BoardBooster is the Best Pinterest Tool Ever

Why BoardBooster is the Best Pinterest Tool Ever

BoardBooster or Tailwind: which one is better?   I see this question ALL THE TIME. And honestly, I don’t think there will ever be a general consensus on whether Tailwind or BoardBooster is a “better” tool or investment.   I’ve used both of them, and I lie firmly in the BoardBooster camp. Don’t get me wrong: Tailwind is great for scheduling pins. But now that the Pinterest home feed isn’t chronological anymore, scheduling your pins (although a nice option) isn’t critical. On top of that, I just find the Tailwind software kind of… clunky. I can pin five things with BoardBooster in the time it takes me to pin one thing with Tailwind.   So yes, BoardBooster has my heart (and always will). I have a feeling that once […]

Are These 7 Pinterest Mistakes Hurting Your Business?

Are These 7 Pinterest Mistakes Hurting Your Business?

Ah, Pinterest. The love of my life. (And I’m only half-joking when I say that).   If you follow me on social media, I’m sure you’ve heard of my love of Pinterest a time or two before. I’ve even written an entire in-depth blog series about it, with my two longest posts to date. That’s how much I love it.   I’ve been lucky enough to work with dozens of different ladies on their Pinterest accounts since launching my Pinterest services, and spending so much time analyzing Pinterest has brought a few things to my attention:   1. When it comes to Pinterest, a lot of business-owners are making the same few mistakes that are slowing down their growth and success.   2. By fixing these mistakes, those business […]

Make Money with Pinterest Affiliate Links (Without Losing Your Street Cred!)

Make Money with Pinterest Affiliate Links (Without Losing Your Street Cred!)

In spring of 2016, Pinterest made a shocking announcement: They were allowing DIRECT affiliate links on pins again. WAHOO!   That’s right, you can now link a pin directly to a product or website you’re an affiliate for. This cuts out the “middle man” step of sending someone to read the product review on your blog first, and then hoping they’ll click on your affiliate link and make a purchase.   This is BIG news. Although affiliate links were allowed on Pinterest in the past, they were banned for over a year because the platform was becoming too spammy. But apparently those uber-smart people at Pinterest headquarters have spiffed things up a bit, and we can now use our beloved affiliate links again. Hooray!   Now, for those people thinking […]
